Computer Laboratory Facilities

There are 3 undergraduate computer laboratories in the School of Mechanical Engineering, which are referred to by their room number:

  • A111 – located opposite the main office. This laboratory, used for classes and general-purpose, is equipped with 26 Pentium 4 machines and a printer.

  • G23 – located on the ground floor, adjacent to the CNC milling room where your Computer-Aided Designs come to life. This laboratory is used for classes and general-purpose. This room is equipped with an A3 printer and 30 AMD64 machines.

  • E263 – located on the second floor. This lab is general-purpose for final year students only, equipped with 20 Pentium 4 machines and a printer.

We also have several Solaris and linux-based workstations which are available to staff, postgraduate students and undergraduate students undertaking special projects.
