All staff and students who need to use Class 3 or higher laser equipment in the course of their research or study are required to attend the half-day laser safety course provided by the UWA Safety and Health Office.

Laser safety courses are advertised regularly through the School's internal mail system.

Registration for all UWA Safety and Health Office courses should be done through the School Safety Officer, Rob Greenhalgh, telephone (+61 8) 6488 7099, since approval and invoicing needs to be finalised prior to registration.

Records of certificates of attendance for the Laser Safety in Research course are filed in the Laser Safety Training Record file F10 in the School Administrative Office 1.14.
