Laboratories
- Tribology Laboratory
The Tribology Laboratory at the University of Western Australia was established in 1985. Current research of the laboratory is in the areas of numerical characterisation and classification of wear particles and surfaces. - Telerobotics and remote access laboratories
Robotics laboratory that houses the telerobot and telelabs equipment. - Intelligent Systems for Medicine Laboratory
Current research includes Biomechanics for computer-integrated surgery, Medical robotics and Sports biomechanics. - Laboratory for Functional Materials
Research in transformation behaviour of materials, alloys and compounds.

- Selective Laser Sintering Equipment: EOS M250 Extended
Metal Sintering equipment for the direct production of metal parts. Materials currently available are bronze (DirectMetal) and steel (DirectSteel) - 1200 degree celcius furnace with vacuum system
Hot zone ~150mm long by 50mm dia, vacuum level to 10-2 mbar - Small vacuum chamber
- A&D analytical balance with density kit
Capacity 210g range, resolution 0.1mg
