G'Day!
Welcome to the Robot Sheep Shearing Project! This tour is under construction
(still) and James Trevelyan will add more bit by bit. Meanwhile, I can show
you some pictures which feature me and my friends in some unbelievable positions....
Me on TV! Yes, THE VIDEO of it all with that
thingy they seemed to think is just SHEAR MAGIC! Dears, it is 255 MEGABYTES
long! So be careful before you download it. PS. Its rude - please don't show
it to lambs!
Download the video! (Right-click & choose "Save Target As...")
What they're doing now - They reckon this
is the future of shearing!
Bits of "that book" that James wrote.
It's called "Shear Magic". He reckons it is what really happened to
all my ancestors. What cheek. As if he would know. Apparently you can buy a
copy still at www.abebooks.com.
James has written something about each picture. Now you know he looks at things
with a different eye to mine, in fact he invented this thing they put on my
head which, yes, completely blacks out the light, so I can't really remember
what they did. Well, I lived to tell the tale, so it couldn't have been too
bad. And anyway, the way those chauvinist RAMS treat you, whether you're a wether
or not, well...perhaps I should say no more!
May 2004:
Well my dears, that was written by my grandmother but she couldn't
have done too badly to produce my mum and my mum didn't get eaten till after
she had had me, lucky me and lucky you! Not many of us can write these days.
Education is not what it used to be, especially if you can't pay. You have all
been sending us so many postcards asking me what has happened since I grandmother
managed to pen the masterpiece above. Well, thank goodness, there's nothing
much to report! They're still pricking us in the old way that they ever did,
cutting us about, trying to get all that wool off us. But James reckons something
has happened... ha ha!
Never mind, my dears, I'm sure they will think of something one day.
Just watch this space, you never know...
And, my dears, what do you think? You will never believe this! You
remember that terribly clever fellow, David,
that designed all these machines are they thought that they would try out on
me grandmother's generation. Well, David is no more. David became Diane when
she discovered that she had always been a ewe after all, and she even got married
to that ram Harold who was 92 at the time. She sent me a postcard on her wedding
day, she looked really gorgeous! She was soooo happy. Just goes to show what
working on a project like this can do for you!
